Real Madrid defender Fabio Coentrao has been banned for four games and - after missing the Spanish Supercopa second leg against Barcelona - will sit out another three matches.
The Spanish federation's disciplinary committee says Coentrao was banned for insulting the referee at the end of Madrid's 2-1 league loss to Getafe.
Also, Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova will have to miss two matches.
Vilanova, who led his team against Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, will miss league matches against Valencia and Getafe as he serves out the suspension resulting from his own criticism of referees in a 2-1 win at Osasuna.
Osasuna will be without captain Francisco Punal for four games after the committee came down hard on the midfielder for arguing that Barcelona's equaliser was offside.
