Primera Liga kick-off times to be staggered

Spain's third round Primera Liga fixtures will be staggered over 10 different kick-off times, the Liga de Futbol Profesional (LFP) has announced.

Four matches will take place on September 1, with five more the following day and Real Betis hosting Atletico Madrid on September 3.

The weekend kicks off with Celta Vigo taking on Osasuna at 16:00 local time on the Saturday (00:00 Sunday AEDT), followed by Real Zaragoza v Malaga, Deportivo La Coruna v Getafe and then Real Mallorca v Real Sociedad, kicking off at two-hour intervals.

Sevilla travels to Rayo Vallecano for an 12:00 kick-off to begin Sunday's action (21:00 AEDT), with Athletic Bilbao facing Real Valladolid at 16:00 (00:00 Monday AEDT) and Levante against Espanyol two hours later.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are in action at home later that evening, with Granada at the Bernabeu for an 19:50 (03:50 Monday AEDT) kick-off and Valencia the visitor at the Nou Camp at 21:30 (05:30 Monday AEDT).

Monday's clash at the Estadio Benito Villamarin gets under way at 21:30 (05:30 Tuesday AEDT).
