Barcelona president Sandro Rosell says the Catalan giant has made a record profit of around 40 million euros ($49.68 million).
"This profit will be used to reduce the club's debt, which will go down to around 340 million euros ($422.32 million)," explained Rosell at his annual end-of-season evaluation.
Rosell added that Barca has around 40 million euros to spend on signings this northern summer, 'though it is not necessary to spend all of that money'.
Rosell admitted that Barca is trying to sign Valencia left-back Jordi Alba, who is currently playing for Spain at EURO 2012.
