Rayo Vallecano has presented former international Paco Jemez as its new coach.
Jemez, who has never coached in Spain's first division before, said: "I know this house and I can't imagine a better place to be. I am very excited to be in the top flight."
The former defender replaces Jose Sandoval, who left after an up-and-down season that ended with the club only avoiding relegation in the final minutes of the last game of the season.
Rayo Vallecano is one of several Spanish clubs under bankruptcy protection, which led to conflicts between Sandoval and the administrators last year.
Jemez previously coached at Cordoba and Las Palmas in Spain's lower divisions.
