Sevilla makes managerial change

Sevilla has parted company with coach Marcelino Garcia Toral following a disappointing run of results, the La Liga club has announced.

Marcelino, who took charge last northern summer following the departure of Gregorio Manzano, leaves with Sevilla 11th in the standings and just four points above the relegation zone.

The Andalusian side had picked up just two points from its last seven games, and on Sunday was beaten 2-1 at home by relegation-threatened Villarreal.
