Hearts upsets Motherwell

22 October 2012-AP

Motherwell missed the chance to climb to third place in the Scottish Premier League by losing 1-0 to Hearts.

Danny Grainger's superb goal from 30 metres in the 14th minute earned Hearts its first victory at home since the opening day of the season, ending the division's only unbeaten away record in the process.

Motherwell remains sixth in the standings - seven points off league leader Celtic.

Hearts move up two places to eighth in the 12-team league.
