Porto remained a point clear of Benfica at the top of the Portuguese Liga standings after both clubs won.
Porto defeated mid-table Nacional 2-0 away with Marc Janko giving them a 21st-minute lead and substitute Alex Sandro wrapping up the points with the second right at the end.
Benfica kept up the pressure on the pacesetters with a 3-1 home win over Beira Mar.
A brace of goals from Oscar Cardozo in the 26th and 48th minutes sandwiched an effort from Nicolas Gaitan as Benfica raced into a 3-0 lead, and Beira Mar could only manage a 90th-minute consolation from Nildo Petrolina.
