Dominic Oduro and Drew Moor scored early and FC Dallas held on to beat Mexico's America 2-1 in a club friendly.
Oduro scored in the 9th minute when he redirected a pass from Bruno Guarda into the left corner of the net, and Moor made it 2-0 in the 28th from nearly the same spot as Oduro.
Alfredo Moreno converted a penalty kick in the 33rd after he was knocked down by Moor inside the box.
America almost leveled in the 83rd but Danuel Marquez was ruled offside on his goal.
Duilio Davino, who played 10 seasons with America before joining FC Dallas in January and becoming captain, didn't play due to a left toe injury that has sidelined him for his team's previous five Major League Soccer games.
