Gold Coast United have recorded their third National Youth League win on the trot, beating pacesetters Sydney FC 2-0 at Southport Tigers.
Jefferson and Andrew Barisic got the goals for the hosts, who move up to second place and remain the only unbeaten side in the competition.
Gold Coast took just eight minutes to go ahead with Jefferson getting on the end of a Barisic knock down to volley past Sydney keeper Ivan Neceski.
The lead was doubled just before half time when Barisic fired home from 20 metres.
Sydney lead the competition on 16 points from eight games while Gold Coast are on 15 points, having one game in hand.
