Goran Vucevic has quit as coach of leading Croatian side Hajduk Split due to the club's poor results, local media have reported.
"I'm no longer Hajduk's coach," Vucevic told the Sportske Novosti daily. "My resignation is final and I have submitted it only due to Hajduk's poor results," the 37-year-old said.
Vucevic reached his decision after a 1-0 defeat against Zadar, a team currently bottom of the league.
"It is obvious that I did not manage to motivate the players to show more on the field," he said.
In the last four matches Hajduk Split have struggled with two defeats, one victory and one draw in games against weak clubs.
Vucevic took over in May as the club's 17th coach in the past seven years.
After 12 matches Hajduk Split are in third position in the league.
Guardiola ready for comeback
Departing Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has hinted he could be seduced into making an earlier than expected return from his sabbatical.
