NYL: Gold Coast emulate first team

Gold Coast United Youth matched the efforts of its senior counterparts the previous day with a 5-1 mauling of Brisbane Roar at Owen Park on Sunday.


Gold Coast surged to a 3-0 half-time lead with Andrew Barisic, Koh Satake and James Brown all finding the net within a eight-minute spell.

Roar hit back 12 minutes into the second-half when Alistar Quinn struck home, but United would force home their advantage with further goals by Chris Harrold and a second goal to Barisic, this time from the penalty spot in the 88th minute.
