Tottenham cops UEFA fine

31 January 2013-PA Sport

Tottenham Hotspur has been fined 10,000 euros ($13,012) by UEFA over crowd disturbances during its Europa League match against Lazio in Rome last November.

European football's governing body announced the sanction, adding that the Premier League club has three days to appeal the verdict after receipt of UEFA's reasoned decisions.

Lazio was fined 90,000 euros ($117,120) for the behaviour of its fans in the same match.

The Italian club was fined for the 'racist behaviour of their fans, throwing of missiles and/or fireworks, incidents of a non-sporting nature, late handling of their team sheet and late arrival at the stadium', UEFA said.

Lazio also has three days to appeal.
