Alessandro Del Piero is in doubt for Sydney FC's A-League clash with Central Coast after failing to train with the Sky Blues on Friday due to an ongoing hamstring complaint.
The Italian superstar hasn't completed a full training session since the Sky Blues' 2-1 win over Perth on Sunday, with Sydney FC coach Ian Crook leaving it until match day to may a decision on whether he will play.
"I'm looking at the positive at the moment, that he is going to be fit," Crook said.
"He will be given until tomorrow. It is still Friday morning. That's 30-odd hours to go to the game. We have rested him up today and we are hopeful he will be fine.
"At the end of it, it is a concern but he is a good pro - he knows his body. We will get medical advice and make that decision tomorrow."
Plans have been made to cover for the loss of Del Piero with Dimitri Petratos likely to take his spot in the Sydney FC line-up if the former Juventus star is ruled out.
"The difficult thing is we haven't been able to put the same side on the park two weeks on the trot for one reason or another," Crook said.
Del Piero took the injury into the match against Glory and played on with it for a full 90 minutes.
