Russia has given FIFA a technical report analysing 13 cities hoping to host 2018 World Cup matches ahead of a decision to choose 11.

Moscow, which will provide two stadiums, and 10 more cities will be named on Saturday as hosts for the 64-match tournament during a live Russian television broadcast.

FIFA says Russian sports minister Vitaly Mutko and local organising committee chief executive Alexei Sorokin presented the report on Wednesday to president Sepp Blatter.

Blatter and Mutko are part of the 25-member FIFA executive committee which will choose the 2018 venues at a two-day meeting starting on Thursday. Mutko said this month that Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-Don, Saransk, Volgograd and Yaroslavl had 'several problems' identified during inspection tours.

Other candidates are Ekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, St Petersburg, Samara and Sochi.
