Emenike double sparks Spartak

Emenike's 27th-minute strike gave Spartak, which twice gave up the lead in a 2-2 draw against Kuban Krasnodar last week, a half-time advantage.

Substitute Ari (64) doubled the advantage and Emenike struck seven minutes later before former Liverpool striker Florent Sinama Pongolle grabbed a late consolation for Rostov.

Elsewhere, Salvatore Bocchetti's strike proved the difference as Rubin Kazan edged out Kuban Krasnodar 1-0 at home in an ill-tempered clash that saw both teams finish with 10 men.

The visitor suffered a blow when Angel Dealbert was sent off in the 34th minute but the numbers were soon evened up - Gokhan Tore seeing red for Kazan four minutes later.

However, the dismissal did not affect Kurban Berdyev's side, which scored the decisive goal on the stroke of half-time through Bocchetti.
