Australia will take on United States at The Home Depot Center in California on 17 September, Football Federation Australia (FFA) announced.
Arranged for the US team's post-Olympic return, the match will kick off at 5.30am (AEST).
The Matildas are looking for their first ever win against world number one-ranked United States, which has won 20 of the 22 matches played between the two sides.
Australia will be without Heather Garriock (pregnant) and the injured Ellise Kellond-Knight and Lydia Williams for the match, but will be able to call on United States-based stars Kyah Simon and Emily van Egmond.
The first match between Australia and USA resulted in a 6-0 win to the US on 16 December, 1987, in Taipei, Taiwan.
