West Brom's new manager Steve Clarke is to hold talks with defender Jonas Olsson over his future following Sweden's elimination from EURO 2012.
The 29-year-old has only one year left of his current deal and stressed he would not contemplate his own future while his country was in action in
But its interest in the competition has ended and now Clarke plans to speak with Olsson, who has been linked with a move to
Clarke told the
"Unfortunately it hasn't worked out for
"Hopefully between now and the report back for training date, I'll get the chance to meet him and have a chat with him.
"Ideally I want to keep all the contracted players and bring in another two or three that can help them.
"That would be the ideal scenario, although it doesn't always work out like that. Jonas is a key player for the team and the club and I'll do what I can to keep him here."
Albion remains adamant it has received no inquiries for Olsson, who played a key role in it finishing 10th in the Premier League last season.
