Santos Laguna had won its opening four matches but was undone by Anselmo Juninho's eighth-minute strike.

Cruz Azul joined Santos Laguna on 12 points after Christian Gimenez's hat-trick inspired it to a 3-2 win at winless Jaguares.

Atlante took four minutes to equalise through Nicolas Torres before Johan Fano's 36th-minute winner.

Daniel Arreola struck a last-minute equaliser to secure a 2-2 draw for Pachuca at home to Monterrey.

It had led through Dario Cvitanich (seven) before Monterrey hit back with second-half goals from Chile striker Humberto Suazo (68) and substitute Aldo De Nigris (78).
