Serie A title chaser Napoli could be without its main goalscorer Edinson Cavani for the visit of Chievo on Sunday (6.45am Monday AEDT) after the Uruguayan international pulled up in training, media reported.
Cavani, who has scored six goals in eight league games this season, is set to undergo a fitness test early on Sunday.
The loss of Cavani could be felt by Walter Mazzarri's side, who hosts Chievo a week after suffering its first league defeat of the season, away to Juventus.
Cavani returned from international duty only 36 hours before that loss.
Ahead of Sunday's game at the San Paolo stadium, Napoli sits second in the table, three points behind champion Juventus, who is away to Catania in Sunday's early game.
