Melo back at Galatasaray

15 August 2012-PA Sport

Felipe Melo has rejoined Galatasaray on loan from Juventus for next season, the Italian champion confirmed.

The 29-year-old Brazil international spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and this new deal includes an option for the Turkish club to buy the defensive midfielder next northern summer.

A statement on www.juventus.com read: "Juventus announces that the agreement with Galatasaray for the temporary registration of the player Felipe Melo has been finalised.

"The agreement includes the option, to be exercised by Galatasaray by 30 April 2013, for the permanent acquisition of the player for a price of 6.5 million euros ($7.63 million)."

The experienced Melo joined Juve in 2009 having previously played for Fiorentina in Italy, Almeria, Racing Santander and Real Mallorca in Spain, and Gremio, Cruzeiro and Flamengo in his homeland.
