AC Milan is breathing a sigh of relief after it was confirmed Ronaldinho will miss only a week with a hamstring injury.
It had been feared the Brazilian playmaker would be ruled out for a month with an injury he suffered during training.
But tests found the problem was less serious than first thought.
"AC Milan can announce that Ronaldinho suffered a left hamstring strain," the club said in a statement.
"The player will not be available for the Emirates Cup matches and will miss around seven days."
Ronaldinho has recently committed his future to Milan after another northern summer of speculation.
Milan will now expect him to be fit for its opening Serie A match at home to Lecce on 29
