Hannover coach
Miller has been out for almost three months receiving treatment for depression, but Slomka said it was like he had 'never been away' after he made his Hannover debut.
"It was a very special situation for Markus to make his debut today," Slomka told his club's official website.
"I had the feeling in training that he had never been away. He was so well prepared when he returned from 11 weeks away.
"He was in such a good physical condition and had performed well in training and he was very secure and self-confident.
"He was marvellous. I am delighted that it went so well for Markus."
Slomka is now looking forward to discovering his side's reward for reaching the last 32 of the Europa League.
"We will all be sat in front of the television and hoping that we get a good draw, whatever a good draw means," he said.
"We are really looking forward to the draw."
