Borussia Dortmund has extended the contract of its coach Jurgen Klopp until 2016.
Klopp, whose previous deal was due to expire in 2014, has been rewarded for leading the club to the Bundesliga title last season and taking it into a share of top spot with Bayern Munich and Schalke after 19 rounds of matches this campaign.

"We are very pleased that we have been able to extend these contracts so soon," said Dortmund's general manager
"Both have achieved exceptional work in recent years. I felt during the negotiations with both of them that they are extremely motivated to help form the future of Borussia Dortmund."
Klopp admitted that he did not need to think too long about accepting the club's offer.
"I am lucky to be able to work for such a fantastic club," he said on the Westphalian club's website.

He led them to sixth in his first year in charge and then into the Europa League in his second season.
Last season, he guided Dortmund to their first Bundesliga title since 2002.
