Ayew staying put at Marseille

26 June 2012-PA Sport

Midfielder Andre Ayew has denied reports he is set to leave Olympique de Marseille this northern summer.

The Ghana international was linked with a move away from Marseille in a local newspaper, after it emerged he had changed agents.

The 22-year-old has denied the claims in a statement released on the side's official website.

"It's absolute rubbish," he said.

"Changing agent is one thing, changing club is completely different. To say changing agent means obligatorily changing club is just a lazy association and doesn't reflect the reality of the situation."

"I never said I wanted to quit Marseille."
