Bridge loaned to second-tier Brighton

7 July 2012-PA Sport

Manchester City's Wayne Bridge has dropped down to the Championship and joined Brighton & Hove Albion on a season-long loan deal.

The 31-year-old former England left-back moved to the Etihad Stadium from Chelsea in 2009 but has endured a torrid time in recent years, having been frozen out by manager Roberto Mancini.

Bridge was farmed out to West Ham United and Sunderland over the past two seasons and has now agreed another loan that will see him spend next campaign at Brighton.
