Xisco cops three-match ban

5 September 2010-PA Sport

Newcastle United has confirmed Spanish forward Xisco will serve a three-match ban following his sending-off in a midweek reserve clash with Sunderland.

The 24-year-old was shown a straight red card for flicking out his foot at Black Cats youngster Jordan Cook in an off-the-ball incident as the Magpies' second string won 3-1 at the Stadium of Light.

He will now miss first-team games against Blackpool and Everton in the Premier League and Chelsea in the Carling Cup.
