Liverpool sets up Stoke clash

20 February 2012-PA Sport

Liverpool will meet last season's beaten finalist, Stoke City, in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

The Anfield side, which booked its place in the last eight with a 6-1 defeat of Brighton & Hove Albion, will have home advantage against Tony Pulis' side - which won 2-0 at Crawley Town.

The draw at Wembley also paired Everton and Sunderland together. The sides will play each other at Goodison Park on the weekend of 17-18 March, after wins over Blackpool and Arsenal respectively.

Everton last won the competition in 1995, while Sunderland's best season since reaching the final 20 years ago came in 2004 when it was a beaten semi-finalist.

Eight-time winner Tottenham Hotspur, held to a goalless draw at Stevenage, will have a home match against Bolton Wanderers if it wins the replay at White Hart Lane.

Chelsea, winner of the competition in three of the past five seasons, faces a replay at Birmingham City if it is to reach the quarter-finals. If it wins it, it will have a home tie against the only non-Premier League side currently guaranteed a place in the last eight - Leicester City.
