Helguson heads to Cardiff

Heidar Helguson has joined Cardiff City on a one-year contract for an undisclosed fee from Queens Park Rangers.

The 34-year-old scored nine Premier League goals last season and 28 in 80 appearances in all competitions for the west London club after joining from Bolton Wanderers in 2008.

The former Iceland international front man will take squad number 22 for the forthcoming season at Cardiff City Stadium.
