Beijing sees off Guangzhou

8 July 2012-PA Sport

Jiayi Shao scored the only goal of the game midway through the second half as Beijing Guoan defeated Guangzhou 1-0 to move level on points with second-placed Jiangsu Shuntian in the Super League.

Guizhou Renhe went down to a 3-1 defeat at Shandong Luneng.

Wang Yongpo (34), Macena Gilberto (52) and D Wei with a penalty 20 minutes from time were all on target for the host with Ruiz Rafa Jorda's last-minute strike merely a consolation.

A Kim Yoo-jin goal five minutes from time rescued a draw for Liaoning at second-bottom Henan Jianye after Christopher Katongo had put the host ahead with 20 minutes remaining.

Dalian Aerbin drew 1-1 with Tianjin Taida. Biao Mao (21) gave Dalian the lead before Peter Utaka levelled 15 minutes later.
