Club Brugge remains third in the Jupiler Pro League table with a 2-0 win at Mons.

Gent cuts gap on Anderlecht

It was a routine win for Christoph Daum's side, with Lior Rafaelov giving it the lead on the stroke of half-time and Joseph Akpala scoring in the second half.

It is now seven points shy of leader Anderlecht and two clear of fourth-placed Standard Liege, which won 1-0 at Cercle Brugge.

Michy Batshuayi scored the only goal of the game with 49 minutes gone.
