Adelaide United has defeated Western Sydney Wanderers 4-3 on the opening day of the W-League after a dramatic late comeback from 3-1 down at Burton Park on Saturday.
An incredible 11-minute hat-trick from midfielder Sarah McLaughlin rescued the Lady Reds from the jaws of defeat.
The New Zealander fired in her first on 77 minutes before adding two more in the 80th and 88th minutes with identical, classy top-corner finishes.
McLaughlin's heroics cancelled out an early first-half double to Wanderers captain and Matildas midfielder Servet Uzunlar, including a spectacular free-kick from halfway.
The Lady Reds responded prior to half-time via striker Racheal Quigley who slotted in a penalty won by the impressive Holly Patterson, before Jenna Kingsley added a third shortly after the restart for the visitors before McLaughlin stole the three points.
The win was just the second in three years for Adelaide.
