Jan Versleijen will end his term as Young Socceroos, Joeys and Australian Institute of Sport Football Program head coach at the conclusion of his contract with Football Federation Australia on December 31.
FFA announced a restructure of the national youth teams coaching set-up with the role of Young Socceroos coach separated from that of Joeys coach and head of the AIS football program.
The governing body has opened the application process for the positions of Young Socceroos coach and coach of Joeys and AIS.
FFA and the AIS will select the candidate for the latter position.
During Versleijen's three years in the Australian set-up, he qualified the youth teams for the 2009 FIFA Under-20 World in Egypt, 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Colombia and the 2011 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Mexico.
In addition the Young Socceroos were runners-up to DPR Korea at the 2010 AFC Under-19 Championship and the Joeys qualified for the knockout stage of the 2011 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
