Julio Cesar's 63rd-minute goal rescued a 1-1 Qatari League draw for Al Khor at Al Arabi, which had taken the lead after 14 minutes through Matthew Spiranovic.

Former Real Madrid and Spain striker Raul bagged a brace for Al Sadd, which continued its promising start to the season with a 5-2 thumping of Qatar SC.

Mamadou Niang scored twice in the first 10 minutes - the second from the penalty spot - in-between Bakari Kone's sixth-minute leveller for Qatar before Raul opened his account in the 13th minute.

Youssef Safri brought the host to within a goal two minutes after the interval but Nadir Belhadj extended the cushion in the 53rd minute before Raul gave Al Sadd its second victory in as many matches.

Al Khrityat's home clash with Al Gharafa finished goalless.
