Goalkeeper Brad Jones has been called up to the Australia squad for the international matches against Lebanon and Jordan after Adam Federici pulled out injured.
Reading Goalkeeper Federici, who has faced a tough initiation in the Premier League this season, succumbed to an injury which had prompted speculation of a call-up for either Nathan Coe or Mitchell Langerak.
Jones, whose strong pre-season form for Liverpool put him back into national team contention, was last involved in a Socceroos squad at the 2011 Asian Cup.
Australia will play on Lebanon in a friendly in Beirut on Friday (AEST) before its World Cup qualifier against Jordan in Amman on Wednesday (AEST).
The Lebanon match has also been moved to the Saida Municipal Stadium due to a virus in the grass at the original venue, the Sports City Stadium.
