Juve switch ... but James Troisi is heading to Atalanta (Getty Images)
James Troisi's protracted move to Juventus has finally been confirmed with the Australia winger signing a four-year deal with the 2011-2012 Serie A champion.
But it will be a while before he pulls on the black and white shirt of the Bianconeri with the Turin club immediately loaning him out to Serie A rival Atalanta in a complex deal which will see rising star Manolo Gabbiadini coming back the other way, via a season-long loan at Bologna.
Juventus will also hand over $4.4 million to take co-ownership of the Italy Under-21 striker.
Troisi has been without a club since parting company with Turkish Super Lig side Kayserispor in April, and the Juventus deal has been mooted for months without being finalised.
However the 24 year-old, who turned down a multi-million dollar deal in Qatar to grab his chance to play in Serie A, is relishing joining the Bergamo based club which finished 12th on the ladder last season.
The deal was put together by Troisi's London-based agent Frank Trimboli, with Juventus set to honour its long-standing agreement with Bologna to send Gabbiadini to the Dall'Ara for a year.
Troisi is hoping to break into the Atalanta side as soon as possible to reignite his international career after four months away from the game.
