DeVere on target for Gyeongnam

Gyeongnam leapfrogged Daegu into eighth place in the K-League by beating it 4-1.

Caique's second-minute penalty gave Gyeongnam the perfect start at home and Luke DeVere doubled the advantage two minutes into the second half.

Caique completed his hat-trick by scoring on the hour and netting a second penalty with 20 minutes to go, before Hwang Il-soo grabbed a 75th-minute consolation for Daegu.

FC Seoul moved within a point of leader Jeonbuk Motors thanks to a 3-2 home win over Gangwon FC.

The capital side claimed its third win in four league matches, but fell behind to Wesley's eighth-minute goal for the visitor. Dejan Damjanovic levelled after half-an-hour and Mauricio Molina's second-half double (62 and 67) put Seoul in control, with Jung Sung-min pulling one back with four minutes to go.

Busan IPark joined Jeju United on 40 points with a 2-0 win at Gwangju, which was secured by goals from Fagner (13) and Yoo Ji-hoon (90). Jeju United lost 2-1 at Sangju Sangmu, which has now gone six league games without defeat.

Kwon Soon-hyung gave Jeju a 38th-minute lead but the home side hit back in the second half with Sang Hee-lee's double (77 and 80).

In the day's other game, Incheon United was a 1-0 winner at home to Chunnam Dragons, with Nam Joon-jae scoring the only goal after 62 minutes.
