Josh Kennedy put Nagoya Grampus ahead with a cheeky strike in a 2-1 win at Kashima Reysol in the J-League.

The Australia striker scored on 10 minutes before Barbosa Leandro Domingues levelled.

A Hidekazu Otani own goal then gave the visitor the three points midway through the second half as it remained fourth.

Alex Brosque played a full game as Shimuzu S-Pulse drew 0-0 with Kawasaki Frontale.

A goal by Shingo Akamine saw Vegalta Sendai maintain its lead at the top with a 1-0 victory at Vissel Kobe.

Akamine struck after 19 minutes as Sendai stayed two points ahead of Sanfrecce Hiroshima at the top of the table.

Two goals in the last quarter-of-an-hour guided Hiroshima to a 2-0 win over Jubilo Iwata.

Koji Nakajima put the host ahead after 76 minutes before Koji Morisaki sealed victory in the final minute.

Urawa Red Diamonds withstood a storming comeback by Sagan Tosu to complete a 4-3 win and remain third.

Red Diamonds took a 4-0 lead through Tsukasa Umesaki (seven), Tadaaki Hirakawa (50) and Genki Haraguchi (52, 54).

However, the visitor hit back with three goals in four minutes from Tozin (67) and a Naoyuki Fujita double (67 and 71) but ultimately it could not find an equaliser.

FC Tokyo kept up the chase with a 3-2 win over Gamba Osaka.

Hokutu Nakamura gave it a third minute lead which Severino Lucas doubled 14 minutes later.

Yasuhito Endo's penalty a minute after the half hour halved the deficit but Lucas restored the two-goal lead on the stroke of half-time.

Akihiro Sato made it 3-2 with a little under half-an-hour to go but Osaka held on.

A 74th-minute goal by Daigo Nishi earned Kashima Antlers a 1-0 win over Omiya Ardija while Yokohama F. Marinos drew 1-1 with Cerezo Osaka. Seitaro Tomisawa put the host ahead (31) with Yoichiro Kakitani levelling 10 minutes from time.

Albirex Niigata won 1-0 at Consadole Sapporo thanks to Atomu Tanaka's fifth-minute goal.
