Recruit... Nathan Burns poses in his new colours. (Incheonutd.com)
Korean club Incheon United confirmed it has signed Australian forward Nathen Burns on a three-year deal.
The fringe Australia player who's career began at Adelaide United had been linked with a return to the A-League with Newcastle Jets, having terminated his contract with Greek Super League side AEK Athens.
But a training camp with the ambitious K-League club, which has also added Brazilian defender Ferdinando Pereira Leda to its roster, was enough to convince Burns to join its ranks.
It is believed a decisive factor in the deal was Incheon coach Huh Jung-Moo, who has developed a reputation for nurturing talent.
"Burns will provide the team with a greater level of power," said an official at the club. "He is an excellent attacker and will provide us with a good option up front."
