Inaugural AFC Champions League winner Al Ain claimed its second
consecutive win in the UAE League this season following its 3-0
victory against Al Nasr at the end of the second round of the league.
Al Ain, who shared the top spot with Al Jazira and Bani Yas, had to wait until the second half to open the scoring through its Argentinian striker Jose Sand who scored the first goal five minutes after the hour mark.
Al Ain added its second goal through Abdulaziz Fayez on 87 minutes while Sand scored his second goal of the night and the third for his side in the second minute of stoppage time.
Elsewhere, Al Shabab registered its first win this season thanks to a 2-0 win against Dubai.
After a scoreless first half, Brazilian striker Julio Cesar gave the lead to Al Shabab on 65 minutes before Senegalese striker Lamine Diarra made it 2-0 with eight minutes left on the clock.
