With the likes of Sam Kerr (Chelsea), Caitlin Foord (Arsenal) and Emily Gielnik (Bayern Munich) blazing the European trail, Harrison, 23, will jet to the Netherlands to link up with her new teammates once COVID-19 travel restrictions are lifted.
The two-time Dutch Cup finalists are seven points clear of Ajax atop the table and stacked with an array of international talent.
The impending arrival of Sydney FC product Harrison, who has divided her time between Western Sydney Wanderers and Washington Spirit in the US over the past year, is another sign of the esteem the current Matildas crop are held in internationally.
Having signed a one-year deal, ten-cap Harrison is hoping the switch will take her game “to the next level”.
“It’s a good opportunity to be in Europe - it’s a place every player wants to experience,” Harrison told The World Game.
“PSV have been really supportive and hopefully I can go over there and repay them.
“I’m really excited and looking forward to it. I’m still only 23, and I learned a lot from my first spell abroad last year (with Washington).
“Getting out of my comfort zone has helped me before and hopefully it will again by taking me to another level.”
PSV are in pole position for UEFA Champions League qualification, another point in their favour, as far as Camden-based Harrison is concerned.
“That’s something that’s looking likely and that would be a cool experience,” she added.
“They’ve got six or seven internationals and I’m told it’s compulsory to speak English, so I’m happy about that.”
Harrison’s agent, Buddy Farah said: “A powerhouse like PSV coming in for Amy shows the respect we have as a nation around the Matildas.
“It’s a big opportunity for her to be based in Holland and come up against quality opposition like Ajax and the rest.
“I’m happy to have helped facilitate the move. She’ll travel there as soon as the travel ban is lifted.”
