Adelaide-raised but with a heritage in Guinea, the 18-year-old joins Socceroos winger Awer Mabil on the books of Superliga highflyers FC Midtjylland after signing a five-year contract.

Tipped as a future national team player for his adopted nation, the kid who cut his teeth with South Australian outfit Croydon Kings first came to Midtjylland’s attention playing at All Stars Cup – an international youth football tournament – in the Czech Republic just over two years ago.

He won the best defender of the tournament, eclipsing emerging European talents from the likes of Atletico Madrid, Porto, PSG, Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal.

A fake article appeared online soon afterwards declaring that he had signed for Midtjylland, but it was debunked and hastily taken down, though not before it had been picked up in Denmark.

However, after that false start the Danes have finally got their man with the expectation he will be pushing for senior football in the immediate future.

It’s understood that Graham Arnold, the Socceroos and Olyroos kingpin, will be closely monitoring his progress.
