The Red Devils are in need of reinforcements amid Romelu Lukaku's looming move to Inter Milan, and have since reached out to their Turin rivals, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

It is believed Juventus would command a transfer fee north of €80 million (A$128 million) to relinquish Dybala, who has previously voiced his desire to stay in Italy.

The 25-year-old managed just 10 goals in all competitions last season, perhaps impacted the most by Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival, and could form part of a package deal for Paul Pogba should Juve reject United's initial approach.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have until August 8 to seal a deal for the Argentina international, with the Premier League window scheduled to close prior to the opening match of the season.
