Panama 0 France 2

Possession proved hard to come by for the Central Americans and Les Bleuets duly made them pay through captain Dan-Axel Zagadou in the 44th minute.

The Borussia Dortmund defender broke free of his man to meet a Michael Cuisance corner at the near post, before the 19-year-old grabbed a goal of his own just minutes into the second half.

Bernard Diomede's men now enter their final group stage game against Mali having already secured their spot in the next round.

Saudi Arabia 3 Mali 4

Mali came from behind to see off Saudi Arabia 4-3 in a dramatic seven-goal thriller at the Gdynia Stadium.

Goals from Feras Albrikan and Hassan Altambakti gave the Saudis a 2-0 lead 20 minutes into the first half, before Sekou Koita handed the African champions hope heading into the interval.

Ibrahima Kone ensured Mali's comeback was complete in the 54th minute, but that lasted just nine minutes as Khalid Alghannam restored the Saudis' advantage.

Alghannam's goal did little to Mali's mettle, however, and they soon mustered a third response through Boubacar Traore.

And, just when it looked as though both sides would share the spoils, Mohamed Camara's 90th-minute finish at the far post ensured his side a vital three points.

Portugal 0 Argentina 2

An opportunistic Argentina outfit secured their place in the round of 16 with a 2-0 win over Portugal at the Bielsko-Biala Stadium.

Adolfo Gaich's first-half opener came against the run of play for La Albiceleste and while Portugal pressed their South American opponents for an equaliser, captain Patricio Perez ensured they would leave empty handed.

Argentina will face Korea Republic in their final match of the group stage, needing no more than a point to solidify first place.

South Africa 0 Korea Republic 1

Korea Republic reeled off a hard-fought 1-0 victory over South Africa in Tychy.

Kim Hyun-woo's 68th-minute header made the difference in the end - their African opposition unable to replicate the sort of ascendancy they enjoyed in the first half.

The win leaves the Taeguk Warriors within reach of a place in the round of 16.
