Qatar's QSI interest in a Roma takeover 'does exist', according to intensifying reports in Europe from the likes of L'Equipe in France, Italy's Corriere dello Sport and Spain's Marca.
The French outlet claim QSI boss - and PSG president - Nasser al-Khelaifi is looking into purchasing the Italian club.
Reports suggest there would be heavy investment to implement a Paris Saint-Germain-style transformation, but due to potential conflict of interest with PSG, the purchase would be made through a different company closely linked to QSI.
Qatari involvement already exists at Roma, who made the semi-finals of last season's UEFA Champions League, as Qatar Airways is their major kit sponsor.
However, Roma president James Pallotta poured cold water on the story earlier this week, labelling it 'fake news'.
Roma currently sit sixth on the Serie A ladder, one point off Italy's fourth and final Champions League spot, and fired coach Eusebio Di Francesco in March after they were eliminated by Porto in this season's UCL.
