Socceroos star, who is on loan from Premier League giants Manchester City, has been instrumental in Huddersfield's push for promotion.

The midfield maestro has scored four goals and providing five assists in his 39 appearances for the Terriers this season.

However, It has been the 26-year-old's incredible passing stats, including an average of 71.4 passes per match and 2.1 key passes per game, which has truly made him stand out as one of the Championship's best.

He was also named as part of the Championship Team of the Season last month, and has been named Huddersfield's Player of the Month on several occasions.

City manager Pep Guardiola is expected to assess the Australian midfielder at the end of this season, with speculation over his future certain to intensify during the off-season.

Huddersfield boss David Wagner has sung Mooy's praises calling him the Championship's signing of the season.

And after Mooy starred in the Yorkshire club's 3-0 win over Norwich last week Wagner hailed his contribution.

“Every manager is happy when you have a player who is a little bit variable and who is able to play different positions,” said the highly-rated German coach.

“But I still believe Aaron Mooy is an extra class number eight and a good number ten as well."
Huddersfield currently sit third on the Championship ladder, with the top two sides gaining automatic promotion to the Premier League.

The Terriers are all but assured of a playoff spot with the teams placed third-to sixth contesting playoffs.
The EFL Awards in London celebrate the three divisions of the English Football League (EFL) - Championship, League One and League Two.

Mooy was one of six Championship players selected in the team of the season.

The others included the league's player of the year, Frenchman Anthony Knockaert, and New Zealander Chris Wood, the competition's leading goalscorer with 24.

EFL Team of the Season: David Stockdale (Brighton & Hove Albion); Enda Stevens (Portsmouth), Pontus Jansson (Leeds United), Sonny Bradley (Plymouth Argyle), Conor McLaughlin (Fleetwood Town); Josh Morris (Scunthorpe United), Aaron Mooy (Huddersfield Town), Anthony Knockaert (Brighton & Hove Albion); Chris Wood (Leeds United), Billy Sharp (Sheffield United), Dwight Gayle (Newcastle United).
