All goes wrong for Wright on Preston return

Australia's Bailey Wright was humbled on his first return to Deepdale, as Bristol City went down 5-0 to Preston North End, with Preston fans taking particular delight in Wright's struggles.

Wright spent seven seasons at Deepdale, playing over 205 matches for Preston before departing for Bristol City in January this year.

A section of the Preston fans were furious at the move, as they thought it was motivated by money and after they thought his comments upon joining Bristol were disrespectful.

At the time he was quoted as saying, "one of my ambitions is to get into the Premier League and I felt I would have that opportunity by coming to Bristol City."
It was a rough match for Wright, as his old side hammered his new club 5-0 thanks to goals from Tom Barkhuizen, Aiden McGeady, Tom Clarke and a brace from Callum Robinson.

The Preston fans were more than happy to revel in Wright's misfortune.
The victory means Preston moves up to 8th on the Championship table, while Bristol City drops to 21st place, just one point above the relegation zone.

Elsewhere, Socceroos midfielders Mile Jedinak and Massimo Luongo came face-to-face as Aston Villa defeated Queens Park Rangers 1-0 at Villa Park.

It's Villa's fourth win in a row, with Jedinak once again impressing the home crowd.
While Luongo was on the losing side, he too impressed in the heart of QPR's midfield.
Meanwhile, in the Netherlands Kenneth Dougall and Craig Goodwin were on the losing side as Sparta Rotterdam lost 3-0 to Heerenveen.

Dougall played the full 90 minutes, picking up a yellow card in the process, while Goodwin came off the bench in the 72nd minute.
