The four-cap former Scceroos gloveman, who has kept 10 clean sheets in 21 games so far this season after heading to the Netherlands following long with spells with Middlesbrough and Liverpool, has been imperious for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men.
And the Rotterdam-based club, three points clear of Ajax at the top after 16 rounds, are keen to tie up the 34-year-old for a second year, having signed him on a one-season deal.
However, there is interest from elsewhere for Jones, who arrived at the De Kuip after a 17-match spell for NEC.
Jones’s UK-based agent Gary Williams said: “Brad has been excellent for Feyenoord since arriving and is enjoying every minute of it.
“We are in talks over a contract extension and we will see where those discussions go, but he is fee to talk to other clubs in January [if nothing is resolved].”
Despite Feyenoord exiting the Europa League at the group stage, Jones was selected in a best XI team based on those that competed in the opening stage of the competition, and he has also been voted Goalkeeper of the Year in the Eredivisie for 2016 by GOAL.
While yet to feature under the reign of Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou, Jones’s resurgence in Holland – after a brief spell at third tier Bradford City following his release from Liverpool – has ear-marked him as the outstanding contributor of Australia’s overseas-based contingent of late.
