The Manchester Derby is building as the biggest Premier League match in recent memory, combining both local and personal rivalries.

It will be the first competitive meeting between long-time adversaries Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola since 2013 and will also feature a derby debut for Manchester United's star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

City and United are the early favourites for the title, and the derby - LIVE, FREE and in HD - could prove pivotal in the race for glory.

SBS will kick-off its EPL coverage with the opening match of the season on 13 August at 9:00pm (AEST) as defending champions Leicester City host newly promoted Hull City.

The Foxes captivated the sporting world with their fairytale title success last season, after making an incredible turnaround from battling relegation twelve months earlier.

Their opening match will be a huge indicator as to whether they can repeat last season's incredible title run.

Liverpool fans will be able to watch two of their side's first three matches with SBS to broadcast Liverpool v Burnley on Saturday 20 August and Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool on Saturday 27 August.

SBS’s free-to-air live coverage of the 2016-2017 Premier League season will be hosted by Lucy Zelic and SBS football analyst and former Crystal Palace player, Craig Foster.
SBS’s coverage of the 2016-2017 Premier League will commence on 13 August from 9:00pm on SBS and SBS HD, with daily news and video highlights on .
