After qualifying for their first World Cup in 32 years, Australia's historic 2006 campaign saw Guus Hiddink's men narrowly miss out on a quarter-final berth, after a controversial last minute goal against eventual champions Italy in the round of 16.

Dubbed 'the Golden Generation', the Socceroos' run at the 2006 World Cup captured the imaginations of Australians and on Sunday, SBS will again revisit those faithful two weeks in June.
