The OFC Nations Cup winner will qualify for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia while the tournament also doubles as the second round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The top six teams from the eight-nation two-group tournament will advance to the third round of qualifying for Russia 2018.
The defending champions are Tahiti, who won their first title at the 2012 OFC Nations Cup.
